Bernedoodle Pricing
At Berry Patch Puppies, our Bernedoodle pricing is designed to be as fair and transparent as possible—especially because demand for our puppies can begin months (and sometimes even a year) in advance. To give every family an equal opportunity, we use a waitlist pick-slot pricing structure for those who join our waitlist early and select their puppy in order. Once the waitlist is filled or the waitlist process ends (When a litter turns 8 weeks), our puppies are offered at a standard price.
This approach helps us keep the process organized, balanced, and consistent—while still honoring the time and commitment families make when planning ahead. Most importantly, it supports our dedication to doing things the right way, including thorough genetic testing, regular veterinary care, age-appropriate vaccinations, and early socialization to help each puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted companion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Payment Options
What Payment Options can I Use?
We accept cash, cards (card processing fee applies), Zelle, and we’ve also partnered with QuickBooks which offers additional options like Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, and bank transfers (each option may have its own processing fees). To learn more view our payment options page.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! We’ve partnered with Klarna to offer custom-designed payment plans to fit your budget. To learn more view our payment options page.
Do you let people visit before reserving?
Of course! We believe visiting is one of the most important steps so you can meet both the puppies and us in person. However, if you feel strongly about reserving a puppy, you do not have to visit beforehand. To learn more view our payment options page.
Pricing Structure
Do you have different prices for different coat colors?
Nope! We don’t charge different prices based on coat color. Even though some coats may be more rare than others, we keep our pricing consistent and use our waitlist + pick system to keep the process fair for every family.
Why do you use a pick system?
We use a waitlist and pick system because it creates the fairest and most organized way for families to move through the process. It also helps encourage thoughtful matches between puppies and families early on — even before the puppies are born — so every puppy is set up for a forever home.
What lead you to the price of your puppies?
Our puppy pricing reflects the amount of care, time, and investment we put into raising healthy, well-socialized puppies. We follow a detailed process that includes health testing, veterinary testing and ongoing care, a dedicated team for socialization, high-quality nutrition (including raw diets to support gut health), and investments like safe play yards and enrichment spaces. Our goal is to give every puppy the best possible start to life so they transition into your home as smoothly as possible.
Waitlist Process
How early should I get started?
There’s honestly no “perfect” time — every family’s timeline is different. Some people start a year in advance, some begin around 4–6 months out, and others reach out as soon as they’re ready. No matter what stage you’re in, we’re happy to guide you through the process and help you find the timing that feels best for your home, lifestyle, and future puppy plans.
Can I visit even for future litters?
Absolutely! Even if you aren’t planning to bring a puppy home for a year (or longer), we’d still love to have you visit. It’s a great chance to meet some of our puppies and adult dogs, see our environment in person, and ask any questions you may have. We want you to feel confident and connected to the process long before it’s “go time.”
Do I have to leave a deposit to officially join the waitlist?
Yes — to officially join our waitlist, we do require a deposit. The good news is that your deposit is applied toward your puppy’s final price, and it secures your spot in the pick order for your preferred litter.
Our standards
What does the Berry Patch Standard Mean?
The Berry Patch Standard means we go far beyond the basics of what it takes to be a licensed breeder. Yes, we meet all state requirements — we keep every document in order, our adult dogs are regularly seen by veterinarians, and we are subject to two unannounced inspections. But to us, that’s only the starting point.
We believe a truly responsible program is built on health, structure, and long-term care. That’s why we prioritize genetic testing to help ensure every puppy has the healthiest start possible. We also follow a dedicated vaccination schedule to protect against serious risks such as parvovirus and kennel cough, along with a thorough deworming process.
Our adult dogs are the heart of our program, and we treat them like the stars they are. They receive plenty of playtime, enrichment, and guided socialization. We also continue adding more guardian homes each year to ensure our adult dogs have the best possible life and individualized attention.
Socialization is one of our biggest core values. We have dedicated team members whose main responsibility is puppy socialization, and we follow a step-by-step process designed to set each puppy up for a smooth transition into family life.
We also believe nutrition matters deeply, especially for gut health and development. That’s why we use top-quality foods and incorporate raw diets as part of our program.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to always aim to be the standard.
Do you have a health guarantee?
Yes, we offer a two-year health guarantee. While we’ve never had to use it, we believe it’s important that our families feel protected and supported — even in the rare “what if” situations that are outside of anyone’s control.
Does your care stop once the puppies leave your care?
Not at all. When you bring home a Berry Patch puppy, you become part of the Berry Patch family. We will always be here as a resource, a sounding board, and a support system throughout your journey with your new puppy — not just at pickup, but for the life of your dog.
