Our Bernese Parents
The Bernese Mountain Dog brings some of the most beloved qualities to our Bernedoodles — their famously gentle, patient nature, deep loyalty to their families, and that calm, loving presence that makes them such incredible companions. Bernese are also known for their intelligence, affectionate temperament, and natural ease around children, all traits that shine through beautifully in our puppies.
Because Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) is the condition most associated with the Bernese Mountain Dog, we test all of our Bernese parents to ensure we're breeding responsibly and setting every litter up for a long, healthy life. Our Bernese moms are the foundation of our F1 and Ultra Bernedoodles — and getting to know them is the first step to understanding why our puppies turn out the way they do.
Our Poodle Parents
Poodles are widely regarded as one of the most intelligent dog breeds in the world, and that brilliance comes through in every Bernedoodle we raise — making them a joy to train and quick to bond with their families. Beyond their smarts, Poodles bring their low-shedding, hypoallergenic coat to the mix, one of the most sought-after traits for families with allergies. They're also known for their playful energy, graceful athleticism, and a warmth and sensitivity that makes them deeply intuitive companions.
Because Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) is a condition commonly associated with Poodles, we screen all of our Poodle parents to ensure our puppies are set up for a lifetime of healthy vision and vitality. Our Poodle parents play a central role across our F1, F1B, and multigenerational Bernedoodles — their genetics threading through every generation we produce.
Our Bernedoodle Adults
Our Bernedoodle parents represent the best of both worlds — carrying the gentle loyalty of the Bernese Mountain Dog and the sharp intelligence of the Poodle in one beautiful, low-shedding, hypoallergenic package. Because they carry genetics from both breeds, we screen them for the conditions associated with each — including DM and PRA — so every litter is built on the most thorough health foundation we can provide.
Our Bernedoodle parents also give us incredible flexibility in size, contributing to both our Standard and Miniature lines depending on the pairing. And when it comes to generation, they open the door to some of our most exciting combinations — F1, F1B, F2, Ultra, and multigenerational Bernedoodles — each one thoughtfully planned to bring out the very best in temperament, coat, and health.
