When you first heard about Berry Patch Puppies, what made you decide this is the perfect partner to work with to find your next puppy?

I did a lot of research on breeders and liked the information on the website, the fact that they did genetic/health testing, and when I reached out, Aaron called me and was genuinely interested in our experience with dogs and how a Bernedoodle would fit in with our family. I knew he really cared about the puppies and where they were placed.

What was the process like, Were we quick to respond and provide information on all guarantees we provide? (Genetic testing, vaccination records, vet check, micro chip number, two year health guarantee)

Aaron responded to me very quickly (within hours) and answered my questions. He was very knowledgeable, and you could tell he was truly looking for the best homes for the puppies.

When it came time to visit, what did you enjoy about the process of visiting?

When we arrived, we were greeted by several of the puppies right away. We had picked out several puppies ahead of time and were able to play with and observe them. It was clean and the puppies were lively and really interactive with us.

Since you have gone home with your pup or pups do you feel as if Berry Patch would always be happy to help since the pups left their care?

Definitely. Aaron was great to work with and, again, he really was interested in finding the best homes for the puppies.

Once your pup was home was it a smooth transition?

Absolutely! Our boy was curious and eager to meet our other two dogs, and settled into a routine quickly.

How has your dog impacted your family's life?

He definitely keeps us laughing!!! He integrated with our two other dogs well and learned the daily routine quickly. He is never far from me and loves to be part of the action.

What is your favorite thing about your dog?

His love for life and people. He truly is a smart and happy boy!

Lancaster, Pa has a stigma when it comes to dog breeders, especially Amish breeders. The stigma is that they don’t care about their puppies. Based on your experience with Berry Patch Puppies, what would you say to someone that is considering Berry Patch Puppies but are worried about this stigma?

I would encourage them to call to set up a visit and meet Aaron. He definitely cares about the animals in his care and takes exceptional care of them – not only the puppies, but also the other animals on his farm. There is a lot of stigma surrounding “doodles” in general, but Aaron is definitely not a breeder who falls into the category of not caring about the puppies. It is evident he takes exceptional care of them and wants to see them placed with the very best homes that will be a fit for dog and human.
